Tags
Tags make photos findable across your whole library. Selekt keeps your own tags and any AI-suggested ones distinct, and tracks how often each tag is used.
Tagging photos
Section titled “Tagging photos”Select one or more photos and open the quick tag panel with T. Start typing to match an existing tag or add a new one, and it applies to the whole selection at once. Selecting several photos first is the fast way to tag a batch.
You can also assign your most-used tags with the number keys 1 through 9 while a frame is selected.
The Tag Manager
Section titled “The Tag Manager”Open Manage tags to see and organize every tag:
- New tag creates a tag by name.
- Search the list, and sort by Most used or A to Z.
- Each tag shows its usage count. The trash icon deletes a single tag after a quick confirm.
- Delete all wipes every tag; because that cannot be undone, you type
DELETEto confirm.
Grouping tags
Section titled “Grouping tags”Tags can be organized into groups (also called clusters):
- New group makes an empty group, or right-click a tag to add it to a group or start a new one.
- Renaming or deleting a group leaves the tags themselves intact; deleting a group just ungroups its tags.
AI tags
Section titled “AI tags”When you run AI analysis, Selekt creates tags from what it detects and can suggest groupings for them. Those live alongside the tags you add by hand.
- People and faces - a smarter way to find who is in a photo.
- AI analysis - automatic tagging.
