EXIF and metadata

Selekt reads each photo's EXIF metadata on import, so the camera settings behind a shot are always a keystroke away.

Press I on a frame to toggle the EXIF overlay. It appears in the corner of the preview and shows whatever the file carries:

  • Taken - the capture date from the camera.
  • Imported - when the photo came into your library.
  • Camera and Lens.
  • An exposure line with focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

Any field the file does not include is simply left out. If there is no metadata at all, the overlay reads No data available.

The overlay works in the preview panel and in Quickview. RAW files carry EXIF too, read from the file's embedded preview.
