Client proofing galleries
Selekt can publish a shoot as a private web gallery your client opens in a browser to favorite the photos they want. Their picks then come back into your library as a tag.
Publishing a gallery
Section titled “Publishing a gallery”From the Shoots view, open a shoot and choose Share for proofing. You need to be signed in with cloud features on, since the gallery is served from Selekt Cloud.
Fill in the create form:
- Link name (optional) - a label for the link, like "Smith Wedding - Client picks".
- Access PIN - a 6-character PIN is generated for you. Edit it, regenerate it, or clear it to make the link public. Galleries are PIN-protected by default.
- Allow clients to download originals - off by default.
- Link expires - Never (until revoked), or in 7, 30, or 90 days.
Choose Create share link. The link (and PIN) are copied to your clipboard, and the PIN is shown once. Selekt stores it encrypted and cannot display it again, so send it to your client now.
Galleries open at gallery.selekt.photos. The client web view is served by the cloud; the desktop app is where you create, manage, and collect.
Managing links
Section titled “Managing links”Each gallery in the Share links list shows its status (active, expired, or revoked), a lock if it has a PIN, and a per-link download toggle. You can Copy the link, Revoke it, or permanently delete it.
Collecting client picks
Section titled “Collecting client picks”When your client has favorited photos, choose Pull feedback on the gallery. Selekt tags every favorited photo with client-favorite, so you can filter your library by that tag to see exactly what they chose. Any notes they left are shown too. Pulling feedback never changes your cull verdicts; it only adds the tag.
